What's the story

Realme has confirmed full camera specifications for its upcoming P4 5G series ahead of its India launch on August 20. The lineup will include the standard Realme P4 5G and the Realme P4 Pro 5G, each with a dual rear camera setup but different processors and display features.

The Realme P4 Pro 5G will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX896 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, paired with a secondary rear sensor. On the front, the device will have a 50-megapixel OV50D selfie camera. Video recording will include 4K at 60 frames per second and 4K HDR at 30fps.

The Pro model will also support Ultra Steady video and AI motion stabilization through the company’s Hypershot Architecture. Other AI-powered camera modes will include AI Travel Snap and AI Landscape.

The standard Realme P4 5G will use a 50-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. It will be capable of shooting 4K video and will also feature AI camera tools. The front camera will be a 16-megapixel unit.

Hardware differences between the two are significant. The P4 Pro 5G will run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with a dedicated HyperVision AI GPU, while the standard model will use the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra 5G. Both will have 7,000mAh batteries with 80W fast charging and reverse charging support.

The standard P4 5G will have a 6.77-inch HyperGlow AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness in certain conditions. It will also feature HDR10+ support, hardware-level blue light reduction, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming.

Realme claims the P4 Pro 5G can deliver over eight hours of Battlegrounds Mobile India gameplay at 90fps, while the P4 5G is said to last up to 11 hours in the same game. Both will share a 7,000 sq mm AirFlow VC cooling system to manage heat during extended use.

The company is expected to reveal full pricing and availability details for both models at the August 20 launch event in India.
