Realme P4 5G Price Announced in India Ahead of August 20 Launch

What's the story

Realme has released the domestic pricing for the imminent P4 5G handset, ahead of the formal unveiling set for August 20. Consumers will find the model available for purchase, alongside the P4 Pro 5G iteration, exclusively via Flipkart.

In an announcement disseminated via X (formerly Twitter), Chief Marketing Officer Francis Wong established the introductory cost for the P4 5G at ₹17,499 for the entry-level configuration. Notably, this figure encompasses prevailing promotional bank rebates, indicating that the nominal retail price could exceed the quoted value.

For reference, rival product P3 5G released earlier in the calendar year at ₹16,999, subsequently retailing at an effective ₹14,999 after ancillary deductions.

Realme intends to position the P4 5G as a performance-centric reference within the ₹20,000 price bracket, asserting that the device uniquely integrates a discrete graphics processing unit within the category. To this end, the smartphone will adopt a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra systems-on-chip, which will be supplemented by a Pixelworks co-processor to optimise pixel-level rendering quality.

Realme’s P4 5G series will present a 6.77-inch AMOLED display, offering a 144Hz dynamic refresh rate with peak brightness calibrated to 4,500 nits. Power will be delivered by a 7,000mAh cell, engineered for 80W rapid replenishment, and thermal management will be underwritten by a 7,000 mm² vapor chamber heat sink. The finished device, produced with a 7.58 mm profile, juxtaposes ergonomic design and thermal efficiency.

Optical hardware is anchored by a 50-megapixel primary camera and a supplementary 8-megapixel ultrawide module, both located on the rear. Self-imaging requirements will be addressed by a front-facing 16-megapixel sensor, calibrated for still and moving subjects.

The P4 Pro 5G, introduced concurrently, will be underpinned by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC and integrate an auxiliary HyperVision AI GPU.

The complementary lithium cell, 80W rapid charging, and a 10W reverse energy transfer capability, will be identically included. Market availability is slated to commence shortly after the announced launch event on August 20.
