The OEM has officially disclosed both the announcement date and the visual aesthetic of the devices, revealing a distinctive treatment for the rear cover on the Reno 12 family.
The anticipated portfolio is expected to comprise the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro, constituting a successor to the previous year’s Reno 10 series. Subsequent to the domestic launch, the terminals are poised to make an appearance in the Bangladeshi market, as indicated by multiple industry sources.
The Reno 12 Pro is projected to incorporate a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel, boasting a 1.5K resolution and a dynamic 120 Hz refresh capability. Sources from established Chinese outlets indicate that the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC, complemented by a 5,000 mAh energy reservoir and 67 W rapid wire-based charging.
Oppo is reportedly leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance imaging outputs and computational photography. Speculative specifications point to the portfolio adopting a periscopic telephoto module to facilitate advanced optical zoom, together with a flagship Sony IMX sensor, while the conventional Reno 12 variant is predicted to integrate a 50-megapixel triple configuration on the rear and an equally resolved 50-megapixel unit on the front for imaging duties.
