Honor’s next smartphone in the X series may be on the horizon, and a new leak has outlined several of its possible specifications. The Honor X70 is believed to be the direct successor to the Honor X60, which was launched in October 2024.
According to a tip posted on Weibo by a user going by the name “Panda is very bald,” the upcoming device could come with some major upgrades.
Larger Battery and Faster Charging
The most noticeable change might be in battery capacity. The Honor X70 is tipped to include an 8,300mAh battery, a significant jump from the 5,800mAh battery found in the X60. The device may also support 80W wired fast charging.
The leak suggests that wireless charging will be limited to the model with 512GB of internal storage. That variant could carry different dimensions and weight as well, measuring 7.9mm thick and 199g. Other configurations are said to be slightly slimmer and lighter at 7.7mm and 193g.
Display and Processor Details
Rumors suggest the phone will sport a 6.79-inch display with 1.5K resolution. It’s unclear if it’ll keep the X60’s TFT LCD panel, but with the previous model offering 120Hz, similar smooth performance is likely.
Powering the Honor X70 could be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset. That would mark a shift from the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra found in its predecessor. The new chip may offer improvements in both performance and power efficiency, though details remain unofficial.
Storage and Color Variants
Honor may release the X70 in several memory configurations, though only the 512GB model is mentioned in the leak. There’s no information yet on RAM variants or expandable storage.
Four color options have been named so far: White, Blue, Black, and Red. These may vary by region or availability.
What’s Next
The rumored specs, particularly the battery and charging details, have stirred excitement. But Honor has yet to comment or reveal a release date.
The Honor X70 might shape up to be a solid midrange pick for battery-focused users—if the leaked specs hold true. Still, its success may hinge on final pricing and how well it’s built.
For now, it’s wait and watch. But if past launches are any indication, the official details may be just around the corner.
