Litton Das Says Bangladesh Has the Mindset to Beat Any Team

What's the story

Bangladesh captain Litton Das believes his team has the mindset to defeat any opponent but says performance on the day will be the deciding factor as they prepare to face Pakistan in the upcoming T20I series.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference in Mirpur, Litton emphasized that mentality alone won’t be enough. “We have the mentality to beat any team. That’s what we will try to do. But you have to play good cricket on the specific day,” he said.

The Bangladesh captain isn’t taking the home advantage for granted. “Just because we are playing at home doesn’t mean we will automatically play better cricket,” he said. He also pointed out that many in Pakistan’s squad have BPL experience and know the conditions well.

“Pakistan are a good team,” he said. “Most of their cricketers play in the BPL, so they are familiar with these conditions too. We will try to play good cricket.”

Looking ahead, Litton made it clear that the matches won’t be easy. “This series won’t be easy,” he said. “Of course, they have bowlers, and they are capable of bowling well. There will definitely be challenges.”

Mirpur, known for its unpredictable playing surface, remains a variable in the equation.

“Mirpur is always a challenging place,” Litton said. “But at the same time, you have to play well despite that.”

So, Bangladesh is playing again, and honestly, who knows which team will show up? Their T20 form has been up and down for months.

Now Litton’s the new captain, and the pressure’s on him to get the team to finally show some fight at home. The fans just want to see some progress, you know? It feels like it could be anyone’s game, since both squads know what to expect from the conditions.

Litton’s talking a big game about being ‘bold’ and ‘realistic,’ but we’ll see if the team can actually walk the walk over these three matches.
