The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025 are likely to be released on July 10, according to officials at the Dhaka Education Board.
The confirmation follows a proposal sent earlier to the Ministry of Education, suggesting the same date for publication. A senior board official, who initially disclosed the proposal on condition of anonymity, later confirmed that July 10 has been finalized.
This year’s SSC exams started on April 10.
A total of 1,928,970 students participated nationwide, including regular and irregular candidates. That’s around 100,000 fewer than last year.
The drop in candidate numbers is part of the story.
But what stood out more this time was absenteeism.
On the first day of exams, over 26,900 students across the country didn’t show up. All of them had completed registration but failed to appear at their centers under the 11 education boards.
Officials have yet to publicly address what caused the spike in absences.
SSC results usually draw national attention as families and institutions prepare for the next phase in students’ academic lives.
If the plan proceeds as expected, results will be available through online portals and SMS, following the standard process.
No additional details about the publication format or access methods have been shared yet by the Ministry.
For now, students and schools are marking their calendars.
