Vivo V60 Debuts in India With Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, 50MP Telephoto Camera and 90W Charging

What's the story

Vivo has rolled out the V60 in India, augmenting its midrange series with elevated performance, refined camera systems, and enhanced battery endurance.

The goal with this phone is simple: give you a top-notch camera experience, thanks to its Zeiss lenses, without forcing you to pay top-dollar. To make sure everything runs smoothly, it’s equipped with a solid Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.

Pricing is pretty straightforward, with four tiers available. The entry-point is ₹36,999 for the 8GB/128GB configuration. For just ₹2,000 more, you can upgrade to 256GB of storage. Stepping up again, the 12GB/256GB model offers a boost in performance for ₹40,999. Finally, the maxed-out version with a huge 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs ₹45,999.

Options for finish include Auspicious Gold, Mist Grey, and Moonlit Blue. Current pre-orders will transition into sales on August 19 via Vivo’s proprietary store, principal e-commerce partners, and select brick-and-mortar channels.

The display on the V60 is just gorgeous. It’s a big, 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED that makes everything look crisp and fluid, thanks to its 1.5K resolution and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

What’s even more impressive is the software support. The phone runs the new Funtouch OS 15 (based on Android 15), and Vivo guarantees it will stay fresh for a long time with four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates. That’s some serious peace of mind.

The rear panel of the V60 integrates a tri-camera arrangement comprised of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto module, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide unit; the front-facing unit matches the primary in resolution and facilitates 4K video capture on either side. Complementary software incorporates AI features, among them Image Expander, Smart Call Assistant, and an intelligent spam call filtration system.

Power is delivered by a 6,500mAh cell that sustains 90W wired top-ups, a specification Vivo asserts facilitates rapid return to operational capacity. Wireless and wired comms encompass Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band GPS, NFC, and USB-C; ingress protection is rated at both IP68 and IP69, and biometric authentication is executed by an in-display capacitive sensor.

The Mist Grey variant is 7.53mm in thickness and weighs 192 grams; Auspicious Gold and Moonlit Blue iterations deviate in marginal thickness and mass.

Vivo’s trajectory with the V60 demonstrates a commitment to marrying robust specifications with lengthy software longevity in the upper midrange tier, where incumbents and new entrants alike exert competitive pressure. Whether the fusion of advanced optical capture and substantial battery stamina can convincingly attract users in this crowded landscape now awaits consumer verdict.
