Kristin Cabot, head of human resources at Astronomer, and her husband Andrew Cabot recently secured a $1.6 million mortgage for a luxury property in New Hampshire. The financial disclosure has surfaced just days after a viral video fueled allegations of an extramarital affair between Cabot and the company’s former CEO, Andy Byron.
The couple’s real estate move was reported by The US Sun, citing documents that show both Kristin and Andrew’s names listed on the mortgage, which was arranged through Morgan Stanley in March. The beachfront property in Rye includes four bedrooms and is described in listings as a second home requiring restoration.
Cabot’s husband, Andrew, is reportedly the heir to the Privateer Rum fortune and a descendant of a Revolutionary War-era merchant and distiller. Public biographies trace the Cabot family’s wealth to a diversified portfolio that once spanned chemicals, gas, and carbon black, a component used in tire manufacturing.
The mortgage detail adds another layer to a public controversy that began at a Coldplay concert. During the show, Cabot and Byron were caught on the venue’s kiss cam embracing each other. Their reaction, caught on camera, went viral after Coldplay frontman Chris Martin remarked that the pair were “either having an affair or just very shy.”

Social media users quickly identified them as senior executives at Astronomer, a data orchestration company. Both are married to other people.
Byron resigned from his CEO position shortly after the video began circulating. Cabot has not publicly commented but has remained in her position at the time of reporting.
The property and mortgage may complicate matters further if the couple’s relationship changes under public pressure. In cases like this, options typically include selling the property or refinancing under a single name, though no such steps have been confirmed.
Public records list the Rye home as a secondary residence for the couple. The coastal New Hampshire property is described by brokers as having potential but needing work to return it to “its former glory.”
While Byron’s departure from Astronomer was confirmed, it remains unclear whether the company will take internal action regarding Cabot’s position. The company has not issued a formal statement.
For now, the focus continues to shift between the personal fallout, financial disclosures, and professional consequences tied to a moment that began with a brief appearance on a concert screen.
